It's Not Where You Live
It's How You Live

New York City has the greatest income inequality in the United States.
For every person that lives in a million-dollar townhome in the East Village, dozens live in unfurnished, and unkept apartments in East Harlem or Brownsville.
This income and wealth inequality isn't simply a difference in the quality of clothing or appearance, the disparity also exists within the comfort of their homes.

For those that cannot afford certain rent prices, NYCHA and low-income housing are available.
Oftentimes, these forms of housing are left in terrible & unkept conditions by the institutions that set them into place.

Wonderful HomeMakers believes in one thing:
Your economic status should never dictate whether or not you can feel at home in any sort of housing.

Those that are low-income, disabled, elderly, or in other unfortunate circumstances deserve to live in homes free of mold, peeling paint, broken doors, barred windows, destroyed flooring, lack of heat or cooling, and so much more.

That is where Our Motto "It's not where you live, It's How You Live" comes into place.
It does not matter if you live in the projects, underfunded NYCHA apartments, or in a "ghetto" community.
You deserve to open your doors and see a place you can call HOME.

Wonderful HomeMakers plans to fight and improve the housing conditions here in NYC and hopefully bring to light injustices here at home and across the globe.
All Donations and funding will go towards renovating and redecorating these apartments and homes.

Our mission is to serve anyone and everyone who wishes to call their house a home.
Whether you can't afford a new couch, need help to furnish your new big-apple apartment, or need some renovation and remodeling to your apartment, home, or business; Wonderful HomeMakers can help!
(Since we are a group of young students, there is an extent to what we are capable of doing)

It doesn't take much to join our fight. Donations, collaborations, publicity, volunteering, and shout-outs are simple tasks that allow our organization a chance to make a difference in NYC & Global communities.
