EAD stands for Engineering, Architecture & Design.
Our EAD homemakers are the most important part of our program. They are the ones responsible for renovations, transport of furnishing, and service scheduling.
Each and every EAD member has some experience or love for engineering and design; and they dedicate hours of both personal and In-person time, to get each and every project done.
They are the heart and soul of The Wonderful HomeMakers.

Alice Chen
Hello, My name is Alice Chen!
I am going to be a Junior at Brooklyn Technical High School. Some of my hobbies include ballet, dance, Chinese pop, and drawing. One of my favorite food is noodles and I really like the color pink. I hate apples, pears, and watermelons.
I am currently in the architecture major at BTHS and I would like to see what the architecture career is like before choosing my major in college.
One of the biggest messages that I tell myself whenever I feel sad or stressed is that the rainbow is always after a huge rainstorm so no matter how big your obstacle is, there will always be a way to overcome it! I hope to become someone that I am proud of with the capability of achieving my own goals.
I can’t wait to work with the other members of Wonderful HomeMakers to create a better living environment for others.

Jenny Zeng
I’m Jenny Zeng, a rising junior at Midwood High School.
My hobbies consist of playing video games with my friends and the occasional miniature kit building. However, my favorite thing to do is simply hanging out with my friends and family, basic I know, but it’s good for the soul.
My future career choice would be something along the lines of engineering, as I adore hands-on projects and being able to create something out of my own imagination.
I aspire to become someone who has a strong mindset and is able to overcome adversities since I’m aware that reaching my goals isn’t easy in the slightest.

Grace Chen
My name is Grace but you can refer to me by my nickname Gray.
I’m 16 years old and attending Midwood High School. I am eager to explore my passion for mechanical engineering and plan to major in it in college. This decision is mainly fueled by the intrigue of combining individual components with the power of a creative mind to redesign and create systems that simply, well, work.
My ultimate aspiration is to contribute to the advancement of machine technology, whether it be enhancing convenience, efficiency, or just adding an overall sense of fun to their intended purpose.
In my free time, I find myself delving into topics such as cults and internet history. Exploring the earliest forms of video games, like Minesweeper, gives me a perspective on the evolution of technology and entertainment.
Additionally, I have developed an interest in home renovations after closely observing my dad and the contractors during our recent move.
Partially assisting in the renovation process, such as cutting slabs of wood or learning about wall insulation, furthered my interest in creating systems that improve people’s quality of life.
One core aspect of my values is embracing the discomfort of “not knowing”. Life becomes confusing at this age as we navigate our increasing independence and try to piece together our identities. Despite this uncertainty regarding the coming years, I believe in acceptance of change and pushing yourself to progress, even if it means taking small steps forward.

As an aspiring engineer, I want to learn to become useful with tools and my hands. I have a special interest in signs such as bus stop signs and street signs.
